8.04am BREAKING: The labourer accused of felling Sydney teenager Daniel Christie with a single punch will appear in court charged with his murder. Martial arts fighter Shaun McNeil, 25, is accused of punching Mr Christie in Sydney’s Kings Cross on New Year’s Eve, critically injuring him. He had already faced court on a grievous bodily harm charge but a murder charge was laid on Monday, after the 18-year-old’s life support was switched off in St Vincent’s Hospital over the weekend. McNeil is due to appear in Central Local Court today. (AAP)

However, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) says firefighters are still battling to get it fully under control. A watch and act alert remains on Tuesday for the eastern part of Parkerville, Stoneville and Mount Helena. Four people who were feared missing in the blaze were accounted for yesterday. (AAP)
