Ms Foreman perished when the deliberately lit fire ripped through her Corrimal home in the early hours of October 27, 2011.
Her boyfriend, Bradley Max Rawlinson, along with western Sydney couple Bernard Justin Spicer and Michelle Sharon Proud, are accused of helping a fourth person, Wendy Anne Evans, to orchestrate and carry out the crime.
It is alleged Ms Foreman, Rawlinson and Evans were involved in a messy love triangle, with Rawlinson and Evans wanting to "get rid" of Ms Foreman so they could be together.
Evans had already pleaded guilty to murder, however Rawlinson, Spicer and Proud each deny the charge.
The NSW Supreme Court jury hearing the case were this morning told Rawlinson had been in regular contact with Ms Foreman's family during their relationship, however the level increased to daily communication in the days and weeks after her death.
Ms Foreman's cousin and close friend, Alicia Gibbs, told jurors during one of these conversation, a distraught Rawlinson told her Ms Foreman was pregnant.
"He said Katie was pregnant when she died," Mrs Gibbs said.
"I asked him if she'd told anyone. He said, 'no, just me'."
A former work colleague and friend of Ms Foreman, Kylie Falconer, said prior to her death Ms Foreman had once disclosed to her that at one stage she and Rawlinson had become pregnant, but she had lost the baby.
Meantime, Rawlinson also allegedly said to Mrs Gibbs that "he'd been told" Ms Foreman was "having a relationship" with Evans, and Evans' ex-boyfriend, Scott.
"He said he'd been told Katie was doing cocaine with Wendy," Mrs Gibbs said.
"He said she was mixed up with the wrong people."
