The Kiama and District Chamber of Commerce has formed a partnership with go2GUIDES.com.au to launch ‘‘go2 KIAMA’’ as part of their roll-out across Australia.
Go2GUIDES is a free app (available in the AppStore or PlayStore) that allows visitors or locals to interact with Kiama’s business community by providing relevant content specific to the region.
Go2 KIAMA, a region within go2GUIDES, will give businesses in the Kiama area the ability to ‘‘attract’’ the local audience and travelling public.
It enables businesses to promote their events, products and special deals, while also operating their own online shopping platform (m-commerce).
Businesses registered with go2 KIAMA are accessible by anyone throughout Australia and the world.
The app will be officially launched at Mosstique Restaurant (at 87 Manning Street) on Monday, March 10, at 6pm.
The partnership means chamber members will have exclusive access to having their business on the app.
‘‘Everyone is using apps these days, so we thought it was a good business opportunity,’’ chamber president Deidre Hindmarsh said.
‘‘We felt it was a great opportunity for local business to promote their business to visitors.
‘‘We’d like for everyone to come to the launch, and maybe encourage other businesses to join the chamber.
‘‘This will be an additional benefit of being a member.’’
