The trip for two was a prize via Kiama company Tyre Power.

Stomps was taken by surprise, not realising that her son had entered her into the draw.

"I needed a tyre when my son was down before Christmas, but when he took the car to Tyrepower to replace the tyre, the type I needed was no longer available, so had to buy a whole set," she said.

"Unbeknown to me he took an entry form into the World Cup competition home to Melbourne with him and entered the competition for me online.

"So that is why I was so surprised when someone rang me and told me I had won.

"It wasn't until a second person rang and gave me all the details that I really took it seriously."

Due to the rushed nature of the trip and her age, Stomps has decided to send her sons, Michael and Richard, in her place.

"The whole trip really only lasts around four days and by the time you fly there via Dubai, have a day there, and go to the game then fly home again it would be way too much for me," the 81-year-old said.

"The boys insisted that I should go, but I would much rather them go and enjoy the Cup experience.

"They can tell me all about it when they get home,.

"At this stage it is uncertain which match they will see, but I believe it will be in the quarter-final or semi-final stage."
