12:45PM: A freight train with mechanical problems is delaying trains on the Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line and the South Coast Line.
Shuttle train services are running between Cronulla and Sutherland and between Waterfall and Sutherland, with buses also supplementing some services between Waterfall and Sutherland.
South Coast Line trains are making additional stops between Waterfall and Hurstville.
Trains between Oatley and Sutherland are using another track to get around the broken down freight train and as a result stopping patterns may change.
Passengers are advised to listen to station annoucements and to check indicator boards.
