Northern  Districts Tigers stormed home with four final-quarter goals to overrun Bomaderry in a round-seven thriller at Hollymount Park on Saturday.

The Tigers trailed by seven points at three-quarter-time but booted four goals to one in the final term in a 13.8 (86) to 11.12 (78) victory.

Bomaderry had wrested back the initiative with six straight goals in the third quarter, but roared on by a big crowd, Northern Districts finished the stronger.

"It was a bit scrappy but we'll take the win," Northern Districts coach Leigh Forsyth said.

"They got back into it in the third [quarter] and I just said to the boys at three-quarter-time we have the finish it off.

"We kicked the goals we needed and they missed some chances and that was that. It could have gone either way.

"Afterwards we had a talk and said we have to take an uncompromising approach from here on.

"Bomaderry's a good team and we can match it with the best now and it's up to us to show that on a weekly basis."

Bomaderry had 23 scoring shots to Norths' 21, but Norths' accuracy in the final term - booting 4.1 to the visitors' 1.4 - proved the difference.

Mark O'Rourke booted four goals for Northern Districts, with Andrew Craig managing three.

In other games, Ricky Neels kicked seven goals for Kiama in Ben Williams's 100th match, as the Power beat Shellharbour 16.6 (102) to 6.7 (43).

Harry Jackson starred for Port Kembla with seven goals in Port's 18.18 (126) to 5.6 (36) away victory over Albatross.

Premiers Wollongong belted Nowra by 145 points at Keira Oval.

In this Saturday's round eight, Bomaderry host Figtree, Kiama are at home to Albatross, Port Kembla host Wollongong and Nowra welcome Northern Districts.
