With all funds going to the Bendigo Bank Aerial Patrol, organisers Romans Hot Rod Club believe that they can build on last year’s event.

“After the success of last year’s inaugural event, the response to this year has been overwhelming,”  president John Dickie said.

“The show not only attracts cars from across the region, but also from Sydney and the lower Blue Mountains. These automobiles are unique and are sure to generate enormous interest from car enthusiasts and the wider community.

“In fact the event will span three days, with the cars cruising the streets of Kiama on Friday as well as cruising to Jamberoo.

“We are holding a smaller show at Shellharbour Village on Saturday 13th from 9am to 2pm around Little Park and expect to have around 60 cars there and that area will be closed to through traffic, while we are hoping for up to 170 hot rods, custom and classic cars at Kiama on Sunday from 8am to 3.30pm.

“We are thrilled to be able to raise funds for the aerial patrol. They provide such a wonderful service and don’t receive a great deal of funding, so deserve as much support as we can give.”

Bendigo Bank Aerial Patrol chairman Harry Mitchell heaped praise on the Romans club and said his organisation was grateful for the support.

“I am absolutely stoked they are supporting us,” Mr Mitchell said.

“Last year we raised around $4000 from ticket sales and donations, while the Hot Rod Club also chipped in with $500.”
