- Carmada is the name of a new project from Ulladulla DJ Yahtzel, and frequent collaborator LDRU.
The pair often play back-to-back at festival or club sets, but have now made their partnership official.

- Wollongong indie-rockers Without Parachutes are over in America, having just taken part in a series of showcase gigs with the CMJ Music Marathon in New York.
They played the Sounds Australia ‘Aussie BBQ’ as part of a huge lineup of Australian talent including The Delta Riggs, Tkay Maidza, Saskwatch, Calling All Cars and Dune Rats, while also playing another gig with the Delta Riggs too.
Without Parachutes have also just released their new EP, ‘This Is A Fire’ - get it on Soundcloud and iTunes.
- Sheerkhan have released a new single. Their latest tune ‘Molly’ is available for listening and streaming on Triple J Unearthed.
- El Grande, a new teaming of drummer Joe Mungovan (Tommy M & The Mastersounds) and guitarist James Vann (The Vanns), have unleashed their debut single.

- Wollongong metal band Graves will celebrate new single ‘506’ with a national tour in November and December.
The tour, with Melbourne band Ocean Grove, will begin in Sydney on November 27 and finish in Melbourne just before Christmas. The tour hits Unanderra Community Centre on November 29
- Dan Sultan is on his way back to the Illawarra, this time in solo mode. He will bring new EP ‘Dirty Ground’ on a tour through February and March, playing Anita’s Theatre on March 15.
- Anita’s is also getting two more superstars in solo mode. Conor Oberst, leader of bands including Bright Eyes, Monsters of Folk and Desaparecidos, is playing Golden Plains festival in March and will play Thirroul on March 5 as part of a small run of headline shows.
- Meanwhile, Ben Ottewell, frontman of Gomez, is on a solo Australian tour right now and will play Anita’s on November 2
- The Grand Hotel will play host to the Short Stories series of club nights through November, with the likes of Kato, Beni and Motorik Vibe Council playing each Sunday evening.
- The lineup for the annual HY-FEST festival has been locked in, with a huge day of music curated - and headlined - by local legends Hy-Test. Also on the bill for the Corrimal Hotel gig on November 29 include interstate visitors High Tension, Don Fernando, Super Best Friends and Giants of Science, as well as the likes of BRUCE, Rukus, Nunchukka Superfly and Baby Machine.
