The Lakers have comprehensively beaten Oak Flats and Kookas in the first two rounds with with new skipper Brendan White the Premier League’s form batsmen and yet to be dismissed after making 72 and 63 in the first two rounds.

  Shellharbour bounced back from a first round loss to Kookas to leave premiers Albion Park as the only side without a win following a 45-run win over the Eagles.

  New Shellharbour skipper Sam Bracey led the way with two wickets and 76 as Shellharbour made an imposing 249 from their 50 overs.

  Albion Park have yet to come close to the form which earned them the premiership last season and after giving up too many runs were restricted to 8-204.

  Albion Park skipper Adam Coughlan hasn’t lost faith with his side but knows they need to improve significant in Saturday’s  away clash with Oak Flats, who are coming off a strong win over Kiama.

Ben Morrow took 4-27 for the Rats in the win over Kiama, with the Cavaliers dismissed for just 147.

  Opener Nathan Barr saved Kiama from humiliation, making 94 while  Phil Dell’Orefice and Rob McMahon took three wickets for Oak Flats and former skipper Kerry Penfold a half century.

 Completing round three, Kookas take on Kiama at Oakleigh Park with both clubs well short of their best in round two.

 The revamped six-team Premier League begins with five one-day games before the first two-dayer in round six on November 22.
