Port routed Keira for 88 on day one and took first innings points, but were bowled out for 121 early on day two for a lead of 33. 

  Win-less Keira then declared at 8-168 in their second dig, leaving Port to make 136 for an outright win.

 Daniel Phelps (32) and Dan Lee (37) led the way as Port reached the target in the 31st over, with six wickets in hand.

‘‘It was a great bowling effort and the batters finished it off,’’ Port skipper Ryan Mattas said.

 ‘‘The outright is a big boost for our season.’’

  At Uni Oval, the home side claimed 20 wickets in 94 overs to steamroll the Butchers. 

The visitors resumed at 0-23, chasing 238, but were bowled out for 120 with Vijay Karthik taking 4-24 and Murray Crowe 3-36.

 Skipper Matt Salakas held Norths together with 63.

  Left having to bat 43 overs to only lose on first innings, Northern Districts were embarrassingly rolled for just 62 in 37 overs.

 Rhys Voysey took 3-10 and Crowe 3-17.

 In other games, Corrimal skipper Rob Fisher (97) and opener Mitch Jones (73) put on 146 in a match-winning partnership against Wollongong.

  Corrimal were in trouble at 5-50 chasing 130 before Fisher and Jones turned the game with the home side declaring at 8-219, a lead of 89.

Srinath Vanapalli took 3-41 for Wollongong who were 1-61 in their second dig when play was called off.

Meanwhile, Jason Bunyan took 3-28 and Illawarra off spinner James Fleming 3-52 off 35 overs to spearhead Balgownie to a gutsy 16-run victory over Dapto at Reed Park.

 Dapto had the upper hand heading into day two at 1-51 chasing 188, but were bowled out for 172. 

 Dapto skipper Dale Scifleet (57) top-scored,  Colin Edwards made 28, while 15-year-old Jye Phillips fought hard batting  for 28 overs.

 ‘‘We didn’t bat well enough,’’ Scifleet admitted.

  ‘‘There weren’t enough partnerships and you can’t give a side like Bally a sniff.’’

 Leaders Helensburgh made it five straight wins with Christian Lewis’s  86 the difference against Wests Illawarra.

 Resuming at 4-58, chasing 161, the Burgh finished 8-216 to claim first inning points.

 The results could prove especially important given this weekend  many clubs will be without their  Illawarra stars who are in Griffith for NSW country  championships.
