Only Kiama Knights, Jamberoo Superoos and Milton-Ulladulla Bulldogs have opted for new coaches, however there are some changes of personnel in the lower grades.
Port Kembla Blacks will again look to brilliant play-maker Mark Simon to lead from the front as they continue to improve, while Scott Crowther will look after reserve grade and Jason Sullivan will be in charge of the under-18s.
The club is also working on converting their Illawarra women's tackle side into a league tag side in the Group 7 competition.
Peter Hooper will be backing up for another season at the helm of Warilla-Lake South Gorillas one again, still looking for that elusive premiership, while his bother Greg will also return in charge of their reserve grade, Jarryd Pepper and Ryan Hodgson under-18s and Derek Roberts Women’s League Tag.
Adam Bezzina and Shane Sainsbury will be back for their second year at Albion Park-Oak Flats, trying to resurrect the Eagles fortunes after a very ‘un-Park-like’ lowly finish last year.
Hayden Ramsay will be hoping to pass on all his playing experience to inspire reserve grade, while Jason Atkinson will coach their under-18s and Cindy Breakspear takes over from her husband as coach of the WLT team.
Shellharbour City Sharks, after going so close last year, will have the experienced David Walsh back on deck as his club looks to re-establish themselves as a Group 7 powerhouse, with James Jiminez his assistant.
Garry Breakspear will return to the club as captain-coach of their reserves, while Daniel Kent replaces premiership-winning coach Myke Field in 18s and Jason Lennard and Ryan McCracken will continue as third grade and WLT mentors.
Country halfback Jono Dallas has stepped up to the void left by Matt Coelho at Jamberoo and will be assisted by John Good.
Mick Hinkley and Jayson Smith take over as co-coaches of reserve grade as the club continues to build, while Chris McMillan will guide the Under-18s and Paul Osborne-Smith and Andy Adams remain in charge of the WLT team.
Long-time Kiama Knights and representative junior coach Matt O’Brien and Luke Muttdon will combine to replace the retiring Simon Foster, with Muttdon returning from a stint in France to captain the side.
Premiership-winning captain-coach Kal Baird will be assisted by Scott Morris in reserve grade, Greg Gunning and Steve Cupitt will again guide the under18s, while Kristy Pan takes over from her father Daren in WLT.
Gerringong Lions have retained long-time mentor Michael Cronin in first grade as they try continue to challenge for another title, while Cory Hall and Rod Roberts have also retained their spots in reserve grade and Nathan Ford will again guide the under-18s after their narrow 2014 grand final loss.
Berry Magpies have rewarded coaches Nathan Benney and Trent Burns with another stint in charge of their first grade after an injury-ruined 2014 as they look to introduce more juniors to their ranks.
Marcus Rodgers and Scott Graves have taken over the reserve grade, Lloyd Sharpe will guide the under-18s, while Wayne Strong will again be in charge of the WLT team.
Premiership-winning captain-coach Ben Wellington will be back on deck again at the Nowra-Bomaderry Jets as they attempt to go back-to-back – a rare achievement in the group.
Warren Goodsell will be in charge of their reserve grade, Mick Blattner will try to muster the troops and arrange an under-18s team, while Belinda Holt takes over from the departing Scott Chittleborough in WLT.
Down south the Milton-Ulladulla Bulldogs have gone ‘back-to-the-future’, with club stalwart Paul ‘Orbit’ Love again stepping up and take the top role at the club.
Owen Dredge retains his spot in reserve grade, Wayne Smith replaces Love in under-18s, while premiership-winning WLT coach Dave Hatch is backing up again.
With Batemans Bay opting to return to Group 16, the competition will revert to a straight 18-round competition, with a lot of interest revolving around the appearance of Stingrays in reserve grade and the possibility of 11 teams, including Stingrays and Culburra Juniors, in the Women’s League Tag competition.
