Fury led the goal-fest, blasting ahead 5-0 in the first half-hour against a shellshocked Woonona at Ocean Park.

  Seventeen goals were scored before halftime in the five Saturday  games, with new boys Shell Cove FC belted 6-2 after it was 2-2 during the first half.

  The Fury had seven goal-scorers in an ominous warning to their rivals, with Mitchell Del Turco on the scoresheet after just four minutes.

 David Hartas, Sam Munro and Vaughan Patterson scored inside 20 minutes and Cameron Morgan made it 5-0 by halftime.

 A ruthless Fury went on with the job with Fabian Ialavelli (76th), Swedish signing Nicholas Schon (79th) scoring as a substitute and then Hartas (88th) getting his second, in a dream start for the Premier League title contenders.

‘‘Our focus was on a big first half hour and our high pressure and general workrate was excellent,’’ said Spencer, in his first game in charge of the Fury.

  ‘‘The combination in the final third was also good and considering Ricky Zucco was injured  it was a very positive performance. 

‘‘We’ve done a lot of work pre-season and it’s pleasing to have it come together in the real thing.’’

 New boys Shell Cove were handed an early reality check by another of the league’s likely top sides Albion Park who won 6-2 at Barrack Heights Sportsfield.

 Ile Kostovski scored twice for Shell Cove, with White Eagles’ Jack Balmforth, Chris Smith and Brian Montanari all grabbing a double for the visitors.

 From 2-2, Albion Park took control with three strikes to lead 5-2 at halftime and leave the home fans stunned.

 Tarrawanna continued the scoring spree by the big guns, hammering Bellambi 5-1 at Tarrawanna Oval.

 The Blueys’ Sydney recruit Wandi Jajaw showed he will be a handful for defenders with a hat-trick in the first hour of his debut.

 Samet Kaynak scored on the half-hour as Tarrawanna led 2-0 at halftime, with Darren Stone bagging a late goal.

  Bellambi’s Japanese recruit Sang Yu Park scored a late consolation goal for the visitors.

 Bulli and Port has aspirations for trophies this season and produced an entertaining 2-2 draw at Balls Paddock.

  Matt Tesoreiro put Port ahead with the quickest goal of the day, in just the second minute before Scott Curran equalised for Bulli only five minutes later.

 Port went ahead for second time before halftime through Peter Richardson, before Ben McDonald’s early second half goal sealed a point for Bulli.

  Wollongong United rounded off a huge day for goals with a 3-0 home win over Wollongong Olympic. 

It was 0-0 at halftime, with Matt Floro putting United in front on 52 minutes.

 Nathan Minutillo then missed a penalty for Olympic, before Johnny Martinoski gave the home side a two goal buffer.

 United’s Japanese signing Moto Kinjo grabbed the third goal ten minutes from fulltime.
