A stoppage time equaliser from Ben McDonald helped Bulli earn a point in a 2-2 draw with Wollongong United on Anzac Day.
The striker popped up in the fifth minute of added time to break the visitors' hearts at Balls Paddock, just eight minutes after Motoki Kinjo looked to have stolen the points for United.
The pair had been level at 1-1 at the break following early goals to Bulli's Cameron Littler and Wollongong's Daisuke Yuzawa.
Littler gave the defending League Championship winners the dream start when he headed in at the back post inside the first minute.
The lead was short lived as Yuzawa equalised with a polished finish into the bottom corner in the 19th minute.
Both sides had chances to take the lead in the second half but would eventually cancel each other out in the shadows of full time.
United coach Oliver Vrtkovski felt the result didn't reflect his side's display but was delighted with their high quality performance.
"We dominated possession and in attack," he said.
"Daisuke Yuzawa was exceptional down the right hand side and had them on sixes and sevens.
"We got into the box on so many occasions but they scrambled well in defence.
"I am disappointed about the result because it does feel a bit like a loss.
"The dressing room was a bit sombre."
United were left to rue the amount of stoppage time given after the clock ticked just over six minutes following the 90-minutes.
It allowed McDonald to scramble home the equaliser which kept Bulli's unbeaten record intact in 2015.
They now sit second on the ladder behind Dapto-Dandaloo Fury with 11 points through five matches.
"We scored late but it would have been disappointing not to get something out of the game. - particularly the way we played in the first half," Bulli coach Ben Smith said.
"We played well in general. Moved the ball around and created good chances. In the first twenty or thirty minutes we dominated but we weren't able to put that domination into goals. We got one.
"The second half was a bit of an arm wrestle and they probably had the better of it."
Wollongong have a short turnaround as they pface Sutherland Sharks in the FFA Cup on Wednesday. The Sharks beat Port Kembla in the previous round.
Unitedand South Coast Wolves are the region's last remaining teams in the knockout competition.
