Dapto Dandaloo's undefeated season came to a shuddering halt as they were hammered 5-1 by rivals Bulli on Saturday.
The Fury had five wins from five matches leading into the grand final rematch at Dandaloo Sports Ground but were swept off the park by a clinical second-half display.
Scores had been level at 1-1 at the interval before Bulli scored four unanswered goals in the second half.
Attacking duo Julian Minutillo and Ben McDonald both finished with doubles and Cameron Littler added the fifth to help Bulli avenge their 2-0 defeat in last season's decider.
Coach Ben Smith was ecstatic with Bulli's clinical display.
"We took our chances which was nice," he said.
"We have been playing well. When we played against Olympic earlier in the season we took our chances and we did it again on Saturday which reflected in the score."
Minutillo opened the scoring for the visitors just two minutes into the match when he got on the end of Matthew Naylor's cross at the fair post.
Dapto-Dandaloo equalised through former Wolves frontman Ricky Zucco in the 19th minute but it was all one-way traffic in the second half.
Littler handed Bulli the lead again in the 55th minute with a delightful chip over Mitchell Blowes.
Just two minutes later, McDonald had his first after some nice build up play before Minutillo completed his brace with a tidy finish.
McDonald added the fifth in the shadows of full-time.
The result sees Bulli move within a point of the Fury but Dapto-Dandaloo do have a match up their sleeve.
"They are still ahead of us on the table. It is a good result but we are still chasing," Smith said. "Next week will be just as important, so hopefully we can continue on from what we did and string some goals together."
The one sour point to the win was the first half substitution of Matt Naylor.
A nasty collision saw the defender depart the field with a gash to the head which required stitches.
In other games on Saturday, Wandi Jajaw continued his devastating start to life in the Illawarra Premier League, scoring a hat-trick in Tarrawanna's 4-2 win over Shell Cove.
Wollongong Olympic surprised Port Kembla to win 3-1, Wollongong United overcame Albion Park 2-1 and South Coast United and Cringila Lions shared the points with Bellambi in a 1-1 draw on Friday night.
