AN impressive line up of guests has been locked in for VIEW Club's National Convention which will be a boon for the Wollongong economy when it lands in seven weeks.

The event will see 700 VIEW Club members from around Australia descend on the city from September 11 to 13.
On September 11 the line-up includes Channel 10 personality Jessica Rowe, comedian and actress Jean Kittson, Jane Austen Society of Australia president Susannah Fullerton, Australian movie host and critic Margaret Pomeranz and journalist Ticky Fullerton.
On September 12 Australian Human Rights Commission president Professor Gillian Triggs and authors Geraldine Doogue, Sarah Hopkins and Kate Grenville talk to Melinda James about their most recent books.
National president Robin Perros said bookings could be made on view.org.au or 1800 805 366 and female friends and family members were welcome.
A gala dinner will celebrate VIEW's 55th anniversary.
Master of ceremonies is Scott Radburn, of The Four Kinsmen, who is being joined by performers Charlotte Rhiane and Trent Bowater.
The 700 plus visitors will take a walk with a VIEW on Saturday morning along the Wollongong foreshore.
The three-day national convention culminates on September 13 with a Grand Celebration with performances by the BlueScope Youth Orchestra, a pipe organ and a representative from Nan Tien Temple.
Zone councillor Yvonne White said 14 clubs in the region were involved in securing the conference.
