Tender documents on the council’s website reveal a $98,000 budget has been attached to the venture, which will include removing all current equipment and installing new structures, as well as replacing the existing sotffall base will be replaced with “wet pour rubber” softfall.
The refurbishment will be the seventh playground overhaul planned by the council for the months ahead, with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of tenders for works at parks in Wollongong, Austinmer, Dapto, Cordeaux Heights and Bulli having already closed, or are soon to close.
