Shame the fun police stopped more than two kids riding in truck cabs as a point of law.
If that's the case I want all the air horn blowing stopped as that is highly illegal as well.
Gee whiz it was all about raising money and putting smiles on kids faces.
Political correctness at its worst.
Shame, shame, shame.

UNEMPLOYMENT NOT SO SIMPLE NOW
In days gone-by publishing unemployment figures was a simple exercise.
The Department of Social Service collected figures from government employment agencies and publish the latest trends.
However in the 2000’s cost cutting measures saw the unemployed and those seeking employment placed in the hands of job recruitment agencies.
The outcome – the reporting of figures for those seeking employment became haphazard and unreliable.
To tackle the problem the Australian Bureau of Statistics invented a formula.
Every month the Bureau surveys around 26,000 households and asks who in them worked in the past two weeks and who did not.
It surveys the same households month after month for eight months, then on the ninth month it abandons one eighth of its survey and replaces it with a new eighth, chosen at random.
The new eighth stays in for eight months, and so on. The idea is to get both continuity and change.
The flow chart for October shows unemployment down to 5.9 per cent.
However around half of that figure of 58,600 newly-employed workers appears to have been a statistical artifact, caused by a difference in the type of households that left the survey and the type that joined.
A “thimble and pea” effect of “now you see them now you don’t”.

GOING INTO BAT FOR TONY ABBOTT
Reply to the comments by Mick Lafave, "TURNBULL BREAKS SILENCE ON STEELWORKS" in the Web Words column Monday, November 16, 2015.
Mr Lafave is entitled to his opinion.
However, to describe Tony Abbott as our most incompetent Prime Minister since the great depression is ridiculous, compared to the last time Labor was in office.
This just demonstrates more proof of the personal vindictiveness and intolerance the "elite socialist-left" display to anyone who opposes their Marxist ideology.

TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRROR MAYBE?
What the world has been without for too long is a united effort by democratic countries that would crush the Assad’s and Islamic State dictatorships in their infancy.
While it’s not too late to unite against the dictators, these same united countries would have to take a long hard look at their own failings as democracy can only work when it’s all inclusive.

RECALL REFUGEE PROPOSAL NOW PRIME MINISTER
In light of the emerging and murderous shooting attacks in Paris the Prime Minister must rethink his proposal to increase the number of Syrians.
Otherwise, I'm fast arriving at the conclusion that he must be on the same 'euphoric, kumbayah substance' that the Greens have been taking with gay abandon.
