In March 2014, the government released the Illawarra Regional Transport Plan, promising an “annual update”. Two years later, no update has been released.
“There can only be one reason for such a substantial delay in releasing an ‘annual update’ two years after first publishing the Illawarra Regional Transport Plan,” Ms Watson said.
“The State Government must be very embarrassed that it has nothing of substance to show for all its talk and the waffle in its 46-page glossy document.”
A spokesman for Transport Minister Andrew Constance did not explain the delay.
“The NSW Government is proud to be delivering significant road and transport improvements across the Illawarra and we’ll be releasing an update for the community very soon,” he said.
