The Swans are a red hot $1.39 against the nine-and-zero Kangaroos who currently sit at $3.12 in the head-to-head market with TopBetta.com.au.
We asked Rob from the AFL Almanac where he stood on the game. But despite having one of Australia’s most detailed and accurate statistical databases at his disposal, even he remained non-committal over where his money would go.
The AFL Almanac is flying with 100% POT on head-to-head and over 50% profit for line bets this season. Don't miss another weekend of tips - sign up for just $20 per week here!
“We’ve got another Friday night blockbuster this week, as the form-team of the competition, North Melbourne, take on another flag favourite in Sydney,” he said.
“North are yet to lose a game, but many pundits are yet to be convinced, so a win against the Swans in Sydney could be what it takes to cement themselves as premiership favourites.
“The Swans avoided consecutive defeats by knocking off the Hawks last week and will want to cement their place in the top four.”
Here’s how Rob saw the other key matches in the round:
Melbourne $1.80 v Port Adelaide $2.06: “Melbourne are right in the mix for finals this year, but will not want to drop this game against Port Adelaide - especially considering it's a game they've sold to Alice Springs, which could be the difference.”
Adelaide $1.92 v GWS Giants $1.92: “This could be the game of the round, with two attacking teams going at it at the Adelaide Oval. A win could see GWS as premiership favourites despite having never made the finals, while a loss would have people questioning their credentials to win tough games on the road.”
Essendon $7.20 v Richmond $1.11; Collingwood $2.74 v Western Bulldogs $1.48: “A resurgent Richmond will be looking to continue their winning run against a depleted Bombers, and the Bulldogs have a danger game against Collingwood at the MCG.”
