Sarah and Joel Moir decided to give their children a hands-on education while performing to the masses, including several gigs at the Sydney Opera House this week.
Mrs Moir said they’ve been having the times of their lives and will continue their travels for at least another 18 months.
“The biggest highlight was playing at the Peak Music Festival at Perisher [in July]. The kids got to experience snow for the first time … they loved it,” she said.
The family has also been booked to play at Canberra’s annual flower festival Floriade and at next year’s Illawarra Folk Festival.
Meantime Ashleigh, 11, and Heath, 13, are still studying throughout their caravan adventures, enrolled in distance education.
