Members of Warilla Hotel FC recently held their presentation night and congratulations go to the sections winners including Danny Colville who took out Senior Club Champion with Graham Jackson as runner-up.

Senior Deep Sea Champion was Garry Trotter – runner-up was Steve Rhind. The BRE Champion was Dan Colville and runner-up was Graham Jackson. Junior Club Champion went to Joseph Da Silva over runner-up Mac Elliott.
The August monthly comp saw deep sea – biggest bag section go to Peter Da Silva with a total bag of 4.35 kilos. The senior BRE biggest fish was a 1.25 kilo rock blackfish for Graham Jackson and the biggest bag was Dan Colville’s 4.4 kilo haul.
Fish of the month was a 1.4kg drummer won by Dan Colville. September’s fish of the month is whiting.
Anglers are reminded the bass and estuary perch season is still closed until September 1 and enforcement guys from DPI/Fisheries will take a very dim view of anyone intentionally targeting either species.
