Shell Cove resident Cassy Peters organised the ‘Shell Cove ladies wine tour’ fundraiser.
People in the street were stopping and asking us what we were doing, and donating once they heard the story.

The event, which took place last Saturday, raised $6000 for Adam Regal and family.
Former Kiama Downs resident Mr Regal, now living in Flinders, learned he had developed MND in December 2013.
The father of two had already lost two members of his immediate family to MND.
Ms Peters said the ‘ladies day out’-style tour consisted of 75 women riding their pushbikes, while visiting eight houses throughout Shell Cove along the way.
Ms Peters wished to organise the event in support of a charity, and became aware of the Regals via a friend.
“We wanted to raise awareness for MND, as well as some money for Adam and his family,” she said.
“We had food and games at each stop, and a glass of wine here and there.
“Adam and his family came along for the start.”
Ms Peters said various businesses had donated prizes for raffles. “People in the street were stopping and asking us what we were doing, and donating once they heard the story,” she said.
