Bateup had two runners at the Cup meeting and trained a winning double with Arrows Destiny and Giant’s Daughter.
It came two days after had one runner for one winner at the Bong Bong Cup meeting.
The stable has had five winners from their past nine runners, including a success at Moruya last Tuesday with Princess Kalli.
“It’s been a really good week,” Bateup said.
“A couple of the horses that we have won with are some of the three-year-olds we have had since they were babies.”
Bateups double at Goulburn came in fairly convincing fashion.
Aided by a high-quality front running ride from apprentice Brock Ryan, Arrows Destiny stormed to a three-length success in the Storage King Maiden Handicap (1600m).
“He has always shown us a lot of ability,” Bateup said.
“He had 18 months off with a tendon injury. He has only had the three starts back but all of them have been good runs. He is a lovely horse and the time off has probably kind of been a bit of a blessing for him.
“He always indicated he would get over a bit of a trip and was very impressive Sunday.”
Giant’s Daughter then made it back-to-back wins by claiming the Goulburn Mulwareee Council Class 1 Handicap (1400m).
“She is a relatively new horse to the stable but she has gone super,” Bateup said.
Meanwhile, Paul Murray also had a winning weekend thanks to talented three-year-old Flash Fibian. The gelding was given an inch perfect steer by Tye Angland to score by a neck over Peter and Paul Snowden’s Gibraltar Girl in the Ascend Sales Trophies Handicap (1200m).
Flash Fibian had been racing in stakes grade before the start, but relished the drop in class at Rosehill.
“His last couple of starts after his first up run just seemed to flatten him,” Murray said.
“He just didn’t put in so we just decided to freshen him right up. We put blinkers on him in the Inglis Classic and he over-raced really bad. I thought I would try them again today and it really worked.”
