Lake Illawarra’s Flathead Classic was held last Sunday, January 22, in absolute perfect fishing conditions. There were 232 anglers registered and 233 legal flathead were caught from the waters of Lake Illawarra down to the entrance at Windang Island.

Of the 233 flatties, 183 were released and 50 were retained.

The mystery length flathead was 482mm however that length was not captured so the closest was a 480mm flathead caught by Hayley Ryan-Leach.
