Bashing about with drumsticks for a few hours a day is enough exercise to keep your mind and body healthy, just ask 76-year-old John Steel.
He’s still touring the world with The Animals (of “We’ve Gotta Get Out of this Place”) and says they average about 100 gigs a year, though they’ll have already knocked off about half that (if not more) by the time they get to Wollongong.
“You get in the zone and you just live for the playing and recoup and chill out on the travel,” he said.
