Thirroul CBD was frantic on Wednesday with rockstar royalty of the children’s entertainment world in town.
The Wiggles returned to the Illawarra for three sell out shows at Anita’s Theatre.
The first show started late with parents and tiny tots still lining up along Lawrence Hargrave Drive at the start time of 10am.
Theatre spokeswoman Sharon Twigg said each of the three shows had 820 bums on seats while they could have easily sold out a fourth.
“We had that many people ringing up we wanted to put another on at 4:30pm … but due to The Wiggles production schedule [their management] said it wasn’t possible,” she said.
