United, Port face-off again

Just 72 hours after Wollongong United gave their finals hopes a shot in the arm by beating Port Kembla, the two clubs will meet again in the Bert Bampton Cup on Tuesday. 

United, who were runners-up to Wollongong Olympic last season, will host the Zebras at Macedonia Park in one of three remaining round three clashes to be played this week.

Wollongong beat Port 2-1 at Wetherall Park on Saturday in the Illawarra Premier League. Meanwhile, Cringila will meet University at Crehan Park.

On Thursday, Kemblawarra Fury will travel north to face Corrimal Rangers. 

Oak Flats Falcons, Albion Park, Bulli, Picton Rangers and Wollongong Olympic are already in the next round.


Tuesday, 8pm

Cringila Lions v University at Crehan Park

Wollongong United v Port Kembla at Macedonia Park

Thursday, 8pm

Corrimal Rangers v Kemblawarra Fury at Memorial Park
