Fury coach Luke McGuire is adamant his side must beat Wollongong Olympic this weekend or risk having their League Championship title defence hanging by a thread.

While the Illawarra Premier League still has two months remaining, the result of Saturday’s blockbuster at PCYC will more than likely prove crucial to the title race.
Both Kemblawarra and Olympic have been locked in a three-way battle with Bulli for the majority of the season, but the Fury, who have a game in hand, trail the leading duo by five points heading into the weekend.
“It is a must win game for us,” McGuire said.
“If we have aspirations of finishing top of the table then we have to get three points. If we can, we will give ourselves a chance to finish on top but I think Olympic will have something to say about that as well. They are not on the table by fluke. They have been the most consistent side this season and them and Bulli deserve to be at the top.”
Olympic have been virtually unstoppable for the past two months and have gone unbeaten through their past eight games. Japanese gun Yuseke Ueda has played a crucial part in that run, but McGuire insists he has been well supported.
“I think Stefan Dimoski has been really good as well,” he said. “We have to keep them as quiet and hopefully take our chances at the other end because that back line is going to be difficult to break down.”
In other matches on Saturday, Bulli host Albion Park and Picton face Port Kembla.
Corrimal meet Woonona and Wollongong United travel to South Coast on Sunday.
