Former Wolves striker Nico Bernal might have only played two matches for Corrimal Rangers so far, but the Chilean frontman has wasted little time making an impact.
Bernal – who parted ways with Wollongong after receiving a lengthy suspension for a headbutt – scored a crucial equaliser in his first game for 2016 District League champions before firing in a brace to help Corrimal slay South Coast United last weekend. The relegation battle now looks to be between two club as Woonona Sharks and Picton Rangers (both 11 points) scrap to survive.
