The under 14s won the final 42-25 against Newcastle on Sunday at Minto to finish with 21 victories from their 22 games during the CPL and NSW Country Championships seasons. They had also beaten Newcastle 56-35 at the country titles at Terrigal in June.
Coached by Simon Dent and Luke McGuire, Ilawarra will now compete at the NSW Championships, against the best metro squads on September 1-3.
They will then play at the national titles at Dandenong from October 2-7. The under 18 boys also qualified with a thumping 81-50 win over Coffs Harbour Suns in the CPL final. The under 18 girls finished third overall, while the under 16 boys lost the final to Canberra Gunners 56-45.
The under 16 girls finished fourth.
