Congratulation Marianne Saliba and Shellharbour Council for having the drive and initiative to go ahead with the construction of the Shellharbour Hub.
It is an amazing building adding much to the modernity of Shellharbour Square.
Initially, there was much opposition regarding the cost and necessity , but you have proved the Hub and the new Shell Cove marina will serve Shellharbour City well into the future.

LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE
Ok. If the not-so-honest and increasingly desperate 'no' crowd insist on bringing children into the marriage equality debate, they shouldn’t object to me submitting my contribution.
With all the negative and mostly ignorant claims about how children fare in a same-sex household, allow me to present two scenarios _
Take straight (heterosexual) kids growing up in a home with same-sex parents where diversity is a fact of life and humour is a daily companion, where they are afforded the freedom to find their own tribe and follow their own path to sexuality.
Then take gay kids being reared by conservative parents in a traditional household where homosexuality is considered a sin and conformity is worn as a medal of honour.
Where, for the sake of harmony in the home, they are obliged to live a lie and deny their sexuality, knowing that whoever they choose to love would never be welcome in what should be their safe haven, their family home.
You don't need a psychology degree to figure out which group, after reaching adulthood, would rate the highest on the happiness scale.
If the postal survey survives the High Court, try to ignore the misinformation the 'no' crowd are serving up,and say 'yes' to something that will have no impact on most of the population but a huge and positive impact on a minority that craves legitimacy in its relationships.

PM HAS LOST THE POWER
After seeing the PM on the news about the electricity prices, saying that the powers that be will be writing to many house holders and suggest that there plan should be changed.
To be totally honest I think this PM as totally lost the plot.
I think as many others think that what he should have done, was to suggest that the cost of a unit should be lowered.
Seeing that he is a millionaire maybe take a leaf out of Trumps book and draw only a couple of dollars wage.
That way he can contribute towards the big black hole of debt we have.
Or try and live on the pensioners wage see how all the ministers can get by on that for a month.
He as lost the plot completely.

CARE FOR COMMUNITY
Councillor Jill Merrin of the Illawarra Greens represented Ward One in Wollongong City Council for the past 6 years.
Her work was excellent, of the highest integrity and character, and her care for the community and the environment was without bounds.
If other Councillors had been less obsessed with promoting overdevelopment, putting creeks in pipes and concreting, they would have achieved more sustainability by listening to Cr Merrin.
Like others I assumed she would be standing again for Council this year.
I don't understand why Mithra Cox decided she could do a better job for the Illawarra Greens, but she has taken Cr Merrin's place.
I for one will not be voting for the usurper.
