Established or up-and-coming artists can register for the monthly gig to showcase their talent and test new songs.
Dabin was inspired to create more opportunities for live musicians after reading an Illawarra Mercury article on whether open mic nights were killing the local scene – he disagreed.
“If you look at other major cities in the world they’re thriving and it’s where the songwriters first get their legs,” he said.
“You see people, whether it’s their first time on mic or performing, and just getting that confidence.”
Registrations are from 7pm with the music to begin at 7:30pm, on the first Wednesday of every month.
