Local thrash metal band Metreya are all set for their comeback shows next month after some major line-up changes saw them part ways with their lead vocalist last year. Since then the band has been writing and putting the finishing touches on their new sound with newly recruited vocalist Dave Tinelt, founder of Nekrofeist and final front man for Aussie thrash metal legends Mortal Sin.

Since the band’s inception in 2012, Metreya have supported some big international names in thrash metal such as Testament (USA), Kreator (Germany), Death Angel (USA), Grave (Sweden), Coroner (Switzerland), Krisiun (Brazil) and Angelus Apatrida (Spain).
Accompanying Dave Tinelt are fellow band members Dieter Jabs on rhythm guitar, Sean Clifford on drums, Sean Veale on bass guitar and Adam Grozdanic on lead guitar.
With a fresh sound and new material under their belt, Metreya will mark their first live show in 12 months on November 10 at The Bald Faced Stag, Sydney, as they support Canadian metal legends Anvil on the Australian leg of their 40th Anniversary world tour. The band will return to the same venue with another show on November 25 alongside Segression, Darker Half, Misery and more. For details visit facebook.com/metreya
