Nicolas Serray (guitarist) and Jeremy Boulton (baritone) are two incredibly talented young musicians currently studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, majoring in performance.
Growing up in Wollongong, their shared love for music led them to developing a close friendship throughout their school years, leading to collaboration in everything from performing duets to scoring for dramatic works.
This November the young musicians are looking forward to performing together once again in their beloved home town after a whirlwind of performances over the past 12 months.
This year especially has proved to be an eventful year for both Nicolas and Jeremy. Nicolas, in his second year of his degree, garnered a “highly commended” at the Sydney Eisteddfod and competed in the International Guitar Competition organised by the Melbourne Guitar Foundation, only just missing a place in the final round.
Off the back of his Opera Australia Student Scholarship week, Jeremy made the Sydney Eisteddfod Intermediate Scholarship Final after multiple wins and places in his sections.
Nicolas and Jeremy’s recital will take place at 2pm on Sunday, November 26, at the Wesley Church, Crown Street Mall, Wollongong. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for concession (refreshments inclusive).
