The winning jockey Corey Brown, from Wingham on the NSW Mid North Coast, was excited when he spoke with Channel 7.
“I can't believe it ... I chased the ride about six weeks ago and with a light weight a big chance to get on him.
“The O'Brien team and team Williams, I can't believe it. I have been back here from overseas about nine months and slowly and surely getting back to where I was.
“It is so special, I have my family with me and the girls are old enough to come to the races and enjoy it. I am lost for words,” Brown said.
It's a one-two for Lloyd Williams, and a father-son quinella with Joseph O'Brien beating his father Aidan to the Cup.
Willy Mullins falls just short once again with Max Dynamite but it’s an Irish trifecta of sorts.
