Japanese striker Yuzo Tashiro has promised to take things up another level in 2018 after penning a new deal with the Wollongong Wolves on Tuesday.

The former J-League marksman has signed a one-year extension with Wollongong on the back of a stellar maiden campaign in the NSW NPL Men’s 1.
Tashiro scored 10 goals in 21 appearance in his debut season.
He was keen to add to that tally in 2018 after settling into life living in the Illawarra.
“I enjoyed this season very much and know I will be even better in 2018,” Tashiro said.
“At first it was a little difficult getting used to everything but I am much more comfortable now and have a much better understanding of my teammates and football in Australia.
“I am looking forward to scoring many, many more goals for the Wolves.”
Tashiro, who has moved to Wollongong full-time with his wife and three children, is undoubtedly a massive addition to Jacob Timpano’s squad.
The coach believes his return will prove invaluable for his team next season.
“Players like Yuzo are a rarity and having him agree to play with us again next season is a great vote of confidence in what we are building here and where we are heading for the future,” Timpano said.
“In Yuzo and Nick Montgomery we have the best two leaders and mentors you could possibly hope for.”
Wollongong still have one VISA spot to fill for next season following the departure of Nico Bernal midway through 2017.
