After making it through the group stage, Shellharbour then moved through to the decider by beating Creek Water Academy in the semi-finals of the Summer Champions Cup.
Illawarra Football Academy also qualified for the last four, where they met the Futsal Institute, who went on to claim the Champions Cup. The tournament was held at the Unanderra Hockey and Sports Centre at Unanderra.
Illawarra team Lakeside won the plate final, beating Sydney outfit International Soccer Academy in the second-tier. The tournament was the IFA’s first major full-field 11-per-side tournament. The Illawarra Football Academy will host an eight-per-side tournament for under eight to 15s in February, as they seek expressions of interest from the region’s clubs to participate.
An open trials for next year’s program will be held in January.
