Scout camp warden Leanne Senn said weddings were usually their biggest form of fundraising for repairs and upgrades for the not-for-profit, though wedding season turned cold as the seasons did.
She saw to optimise the downtime by creating dinners themed to a very popular magician, Harry Potter.
In late May and early June the Scout Hall will be transformed into the Great Hall from the fictional Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for the family-friendly evenings which include cosplay, trivia and prizes.
Six dinners have sold out within days of tickets going on sale, with three final events in early June to go on sale this Thursday.
Mrs Senn said she was amazed by the response she has had to Harry Potter themed evening with some people reportedly willing to travel eight hours for the affair.
She is now looking for volunteers to assist with the series of dinners, serving tables dressed in Hogwarts attire.
Money raised will go directly to ongoing repairs and maintenance of the 78-year-old Scout camp.
