The beachside apartment is located at 22/9 Bong Bong Street, Kiama.
It is part of the boutique, 22-unit ‘Bluewater Apartments’ complex.
This building was completed in December 2017.
Selling agent, Mark Spinelli of Spinelli Real Estate described this listing as a “rare offering, a brand new master-built sub-penthouse, luxurious beachside apartment”.
Mr Spinelli said the double width apartment featured a 15-metre wide balcony.
He also said the top-floor apartment was “the ultimate lifestyle apartment” and “one of Kiama’s best units in one of the best new buildings”.
“All units (in the complex) were sold off the plan previously, with this top-floor sub-penthouse held back until completion,” he said.
“It’s twice as wide as anything we’ve seen (apartment-wise) hit the market in Kiama.”
The home is comprised of three bedrooms, plus media room/study, two bathrooms, powder room, laundry, and spacious living and kitchen.
“The media room creates a flexible floor plan where some may wish to use it as a home office or fourth bedroom,” Mr Spinelli said.
“From the moment you walk into this single-level apartment there is a real sense of spaciousness and relaxed feel, and with the gorgeous sea breezes it really does add to what is (already) spectacular.”
The agent is not providing a price guide at this stage, with Expressions of Interest to close March 17.
“Properties like this in Kiama always attract plenty of interest from locals and Sydney buyers,” Mr Spinelli said.
Stamp duty relief
First home buyers across the Illawarra and South Coast are continuing to capitalise on stamp duty relief measures, according to new figures released for December and January.
According to the state government, since introducing the concessions the number of people securing their first home in the region has more than tripled, rising to 1955 – up from 542 for the same period last year.
New figures released by Revenue NSW show that take-up of the First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme has now reached more than 19,000 since July 2017 when the package commenced as part of the NSW Budget.
The package means that first home buyers for both new and existing homes for properties priced up to $650,000 are exempt from paying stamp duty, and can access a reduction in stamp duty for first homes priced between $650,000 and $800,000.
“If you are still undecided about whether you can afford to buy a home, I want local residents across the Illawarra and South Coast to know about the stamp duty relief package and invite them to see if 2018 could be the year they can get into the housing market,” Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra and South Coast Gareth Ward said.
