Winter is fast approaching which means a number of adjustments need to be made to ensure you are not only getting the best out of your training, but to ensure you are safe and injury free before, during and after each session. These adjustments and changes that need to be made include:

  • Possibly include a few more indoor sessions to your weekly routine;
  • Wear more compression garments and warm clothing to ensure your muscles are warmer to avoid muscle tears;
  • Ensure you wear coloured and reflective clothing if you are running early mornings or at night;
  • Ensure you have an extended warm up before activity to prepare your muscles, ligaments and tendons for activity during the cooler conditions.
