A 26-year-old driver accused of hitting a pedestrian and driving off will face a Wollongong court next month.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Carnarvon and Gallop Streets, around 2.45pm on Tuesday following reports a female pedestrian had been hit by a car that failed to stop.
The 17-year-old victim was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and transported with police escort to Albion Park airport.
On Wednesday morning, a South Eastern Sydney Local Health District spokesperson told the Mercury the patient is now in a stable condition.
On Tuesday, Lake Illawarra police set up a crime scene and arrested a 26-year-old woman at a Dapto home a short time later.
She was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, unlicensed driver, and fail to stop and assist after vehicle impact.
She was granted conditional bail to appear at Port Kembla Local Court on September 5.
