Emerging Illawarra fast bowler Jason Ralston has a bright future according to Australian under-19 teammate Jason Sangha.
The pair travelled to New Zealand together for January’s Under 19 World Cup, with Ralston taking 7-15 in Australia’s victory over Papua New Guinea.
The Port Kembla bowler’s tournament was cut short by a back injury, however Sangha is predicting a big 2018-19 season for the 19-year-old.
”Ralsto’s been playing some really good cricket,” Sangha said. “He’s someone I can always rely on with the ball. Whether it’s the first over with the ball, or the last over, he’s always giving 100 per cent.
“His attitude’s really good. What he brings to the table, not many kids his age do, in terms of that aggression and that willingness to just keep bowling fast all day, rather than just having little spells of fast bowling, then going back to slow stuff.
“He always keeps producing and always tries his hardest and that’s something you can’t really teach.”
