The Pelican Rocks Cafe at Greenwell Point has won the National Fish and Chips People’s Choice Award for the best fish and chips in New South Wales.
It’s the second gong for the business who were crowned best fish and chip shop in NSW at the inaugural Australian Fish and Chips Awards in 2017.
On Monday, it was announced the business – run by husband and wife Sam and Rebecca Cardow were voted the best in the state. Nineteen thousand votes were cast in the People’s Choice Award category.
Beach Street Seafoods in Forster was named the best fish and chips in the state by a panel of judges. Western Australia’s ‘Hooked on Middleton’ took out the national award.
A mystery panel of judges visited fish and chip shops around the country incognito, before making a judgement on the taste, service, presentation, choice and information available at each eatery.
