Merimbula were too strong for Kiama 53-44 (9-1), then beat Woonona 69-52 (9-1) in the evening fixture to leapfrog to third in the 11-team conference.
All three rinks were one-sided in the Woonona clash, with Merimbula's Scottish international Kevin Anderson skipping his side to a 29-9 victory, while Jay Breust steered the Dolphins to a 28-15 win.
Jim Tully ensured a point for Woonona with a 28-12 win over Canadian star Ryan Bester. Earlier, in the afternoon match against Kiama, Bester had a 21-9 win, while Breust began a strong day for his rink with a 19-14 win. Steve Wills and partners earned a point for Kiama with a 21-13 win. Dapto Citizens made it four wins from five matches by crushing Towradgi Park away, 68-42.
Matt Miles and partners beat Anthony Jones 28-11; Dylan Skinner won his rink 18-16 against Adam Martin, and Michael Stead completed the sweep with a 22-15 win over David Wakeling.
Figgy Bowlo had only played one match heading into the third weekend of the season but left Oak Flats winless with a 67-58 (9-1) road victory.
Both teams won a lopsided rink: Gregg Stevens and partners gave the home side every chance of winning overall with a 32-15 victory over Jayden Gebbie, but Jarrod Beckford responded for Figgy with a 28-10 win over Mal Pearson.
Ryan Marmont sealed the big board points for the visitors with a 24-16 win over Paul Woods.
In other Southern Conference matches last weekend, defending champions Warilla were too strong for Albion Park, winning 77-51 (10-0).
The Gorillas trail leaders Citos by 9.5 points but have played two fewer matches.
Wiseman Park have won two of their three matches after beating Corrimal away 73-59. Scott Bateup won his rink 25-14 against Kyle Johannes, while Robbie Warren also won a rink for Citos, beating Pete Bonsor 32-24.
Corrimal claimed a point with former Citos member Col Cheadle beating Shane Garvey 21-16.
This weekend most clubs face a double header with Albion Park and Oak Flats still looking for their first win of the season.
Meanwhile, Fairy Meadow BC have plenty of spots available for its Easter Open Pairs on April 21. The format is 4-Bowl Open Pairs with three games of 13 ends, and $820 in the prize pool, including $400 for the winners.
