Construction of the Port Kembla Gas Terminal won't lead to truck movements affecting the roads in the area.

The terminal's proponents Australian Industry Energy has responded to concerns raised over the Environmental Impact Statement.
This included the impact of the 112 truck movements each day carrying sediment dredged from the seabed at Berth 101 immediately south of the coal terminal.
The material would be transported to the outer harbour and be used as part of the reclamation project at that location.
The AIE response pointed out the 112 truck movements would still see roads "continue to operate well within their operating capacity, including morning and evening peak periods".
Also, the response noted the 112 movements would be spread out over the course of a day.
"The maximum vehicle haulage for spoil transport would equate to a peak traffic generation of 11 vehicles per hour, which falls well within the maximum construction trucks per hour of 27 approved as part of the outer harbour project," the response stated.
Additionally, the response noted that a maximum of 50 per cent of all excavated material would transported by road.
The plan is to transport between 50 and 90 per cent of the material by barge around to the outer harbour.
NSW Ports would carry out no other reclamation work during this time.
