The probationary constables will call the city's police district home from Monday, after they graduated from the NSW Police Force Academy in Goulburn on Friday.
The duo were among the 176 policemen and 85 policewomen who attested in Class 337. The majority were aged between 21 and 25.
All new recruits will now complete a year of on-the-job training and complete an associate degree in policing practice via distance education before being confirmed to the rank of constable.
NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller, who inspected the recruits on the parade ground, said the newly-attested officers would hit the ground running on Monday.
"Today [Friday] marks the end of the first chapter in these new officer's policing careers," Comm Fuller said.
"However, it also represents the start of the next chapter, where they will experience the great challenges and rewards of serving the community as police officers."
Fifteen of the new probationary constables have been posted to police districts (PDs) across the police force's southern region.
Wollongong and South Coast PDs each receive two officers, and the Hume PD one. No new cops were allocated to Lake Illawarra PD.
Meanwhile, Friday's ceremony also recognised the service of one of the region's former top cops.
Detective Superintendent Michael Plotecki APM, who was commander of Lake Illawarra Local Area Command (as it was then known) for about a year to March 2009, retired after 38 years in the force.
He also headed the state's firearms and organised crime squad.
