The Stingrays sit fifth on the ladder at the midway point of the competition, but just two points behind leaders Sydney Olympic in a congested top five. North Shore sit at the opposite end of the table, in last place with just one win.
As such, this weekend poses a major opportunity for Scott Chipperfield's squad to climb up the ladder.
The Stingrays enter the match seeking to return to the winners circle having played out a nil-all draw with Sydney University last week.
Illawarra and North Shore faced off in the first round of the season, with the Stingrays claiming a 3-1 victory thanks to goals by Blaize Kendis, Erica Halloway and Eden Stoddard.
