This week it was confirmed international superstar John Travolta would fly into the region in November with his Boeing 707.
The ex-Qantas plane will be then housed at HARS and will no doubt itself become the next star attraction of the air museum.
That event will no doubt again bring the eyes of the World onto Wollongong and Shellharbour and the broader Illawarra.
The exposure is priceless.
It comes on the back of a young international basketball star and celebrating creating an international storm recently by choosing to come to the Illawarra Hawks for a season before nominating for the NBA Draft.
You don't have to love basketball to understand stats.
It's estimated that announcement alone had a worldwide reach on social media of 1.6 billion. I'll say that again, 1.6 billion.
Nothing, ever has had that sort of impact for this region in that world. It is unprecedented.
