Neil Murray has had his songs recorded by the artists like Missy Higgins, Powderfinger, Adam Brand and Jimmy Little. He is also responsible for penning Christine Anu's hit My Island Home, and in turn won the APRA Song of the Year for it in 1995.
Murray will lead the 51 acts announced for the sixth annual festival, which is at Kiama Showground and surrounding venues from September 27 to 29.
There will also be a two-hour tribute to the America's famous Woodstock festival - a three-day event for peace and music held in 1969. The Carefree Road Band, The Water Runners and Buck & Deanne will perform popular songs from the festival on the Saturday afternoon.
Event co-ordinator Rod Cork said there would also be a strong Celtic influence at this year's festival with the likes of Edna Kenny, Co-Cheol, Highlander and Across the Great Divide.
"There are 33 international and national acts, but we've also got a really strong local presence, with 18 acts from the Illawarra," Mr Cork said.
