Illawarra residents are encouraged to bring their old linen, towels and quilt covers to the new outlet so they can be recycled and made into new products.
Sheridan Australia group general manager Paul Gould said Sheridan was the first Australian homewares brand to offer a solution to the issue by offering a closed loop process.
It comes after the KonMari method swept the world via the Netflix TV show 'Tidying Up with Marie Kondo' early in 2019.
The program left charity bins overflowing with textile donations that have overwhelmed charity stores and are often unsuitable for resale and have gone straight to landfill.
Mr Gould said Sheridan has already saved 3150 kilograms of textiles nationwide which have been re-purposed into Rethread tea towels.
"We're aiming to help our Illawara customers live more sustainably and it's important to bring them on the journey with us".
"The recycling program empowers our customers to make thoughtful decisions when it comes to recycling unwanted bed linen and towels. And it shows that if we all play a small part, we can make a big difference".
Mr Gould said the recycling initiative means customers can now donate their pre-loved bed linen and towels from any brand at the Shellharbour Sheridan store and receive 10 per cent off any same-day purchase.
